If you’re looking for something and it isn’t here…

July 19th, 2010

If you’re looking for music articles, like my Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival coverage, it’s no longer here. I have split apart into separate blogs! All of my music-related content is over at my new domain: Sweet Blog of Mine. Please update your links!

My current plans now are to create a new domain for a wrestling blog, and a third domain (if I don’t keep this one) for a massive wrestling information archive project. Stay tuned, folks.

To make up for the inconvenience, click ‘read more’ to see some classic wrestling memories. (well, classic enough.)

May 26th, 2009

'Lakers' team on RawLast night’s Raw broadcast went exactly as expected. Vince McMahon confronted an actor who played the part of Enos S. Unexpected NBA Playoff Matchup: WWE vs Kroenke Sports

May 20th, 2009

Kobe McMahon?

Here’s a news topic that will be familiar to both wrestling fans AND traditional sports fans.  When the Houston Rockets failed to defeat the Los Angeles Lakers in the Conference Semifinals round of the 2009 NBA Playoffs, an interesting ‘match’ was booked in both the wrestling and basketball worlds.  This match was not to take place in either the squared circle or a basketball court, but at press conferences.

The problem at hand was that the Lakers beating the Rockets meant the Denver Nuggets would NOT have home court advantage.  This was a problem for World Wrestling Entertainment because they had first dibs on the arena for a live TV taping of Raw, and a contract to back it up, signed in August 2008.  Had the Rockets won, this conflict would not have arisen, because game four of the next round of the playoffs would have taken place in Houston, not Denver. The Ultimate Opportunist Finds a Way Out at No Way Out 2009

February 21st, 2009

The Ultimate Opportunist steals another world championshipShocking doesn’t do justice in describing Sunday’s No Way Out pay per view.  In a definite ‘foot-in-mouth’ moment, I was wrong with nearly all of my predictions.  In a pay-per-view that looked absolutely horrid on paper, the WWE roster and creative team developed a thrilling, edge-of-your-seat (no pun intended) show.
